Privacy
recal is built local-first. The model of how you work is created and kept on your own Mac. By default, nothing about your activity is uploaded, indexed, or sold.
What stays on your device
The observations recal makes about your workflow, and the understanding it builds from them, live on your machine. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party as a condition of using the product.
When anything leaves your device
Some tasks may benefit from a larger cloud model. When that happens, recal asks first and sends only what is needed for that specific task. The baseline is private; the exceptions are explicit and yours to make.
